TJ Certified Change Practitioner

In development Issuer — The TJ Institute

The TJ Certified Change Practitioner credential recognises individuals who have demonstrated the knowledge, judgement and practical ability to apply The TJ Method™ to a defined organisational change — from initial diagnosis through adoption and reinforcement.

Certified by The TJ Institute in The TJ Method™.

This is a competency-based professional certification. Completing training alone does not guarantee certification. Attending the approved learning programme is recorded as course completion. Certification is a separate decision, made by The TJ Institute against assessed evidence.

How the assessment works

Three required stages, and a fourth used where an assessor needs to verify something the evidence alone cannot settle.

Stage 01

Knowledge examination

Tests core concepts and applied judgement. Includes scenario-based questions, not only factual recall.

Proposed pass score: 80%

Stage 02

Practical change simulation

The candidate responds to a realistic, evolving organisational change. Assesses analysis, prioritisation, decisions and practical outputs.

Every mandatory competency must receive a competent result.

Stage 03

Assessed portfolio

The candidate provides selected change-management work products. Evidence must demonstrate individual contribution, with a rationale explaining decisions and lessons learned.

Stage 04 — professional conversation (where required). Used to verify evidence, clarify decisions or confirm the candidate’s individual contribution.

What successful candidates can do

The credential asserts capability, so the competencies are written as things a holder can be asked to do.

  • Establish appropriate sponsorship, governance and accountabilities
  • Identify affected stakeholders and material change impacts
  • Assess readiness, risk and capability
  • Develop an integrated change strategy and plan
